Explore the possibility of offerring an immersion language track in the Lower School. The class would be taught 1/2 day in English and 1/2 day in Spanish in grades Kindergarten through third. In fourth grade another language would be taught.
This is an interesting idea. I have concerns about including it in the strategic plan without some further research and investigation. Several considerations need to be looked at before jumping into something that would cause such a drastic change in “who” we currently are as a school. • Is there enough of a market for this in the Harrisburg area? • What fiscal ramifications would this create? o Staffing o Curriculum o Materials o Marketing • How would this impact our current program?
